Wow! Can we talk about stress eating?

In WW there is questionnaire to help you figure out some of your triggers so that you can avoid them.  Well it turns out that I am a classic stress eater. The past few weeks I've managed to lose but I've been eating the weirdest things!  I've had a tub of frosting in my cupboard since Halloween.  I hadn't taken an interest in it since we bought it to decorate cookies.... Even when we were decorating cookies!  But the past two weeks I've just wanted spoon fulls of it!  I'm going to have to throw it out when I get home because my mouth is watering just talking about it!
Yesterday takes the cake though!  For work we are getting together presents for our clients.  They are containers of M&M's.  I opened a bag and a ton of them spilt all over the floor.  So in my stressed out food crazed logic I thought that I should just eat them because people don' t like food off the floor...... So I literally ate about 12 points worth of M&M's OFF THE FLOOR!  Now they do have a hard candy shell which is not just delicious but also makes for a more sanitary 10 second rule.......  I'VE LOST MY WEIGHT WATCHERS MIND!!!
I've learned to forgive myself for the slip ups and to move on and not blow a whole day because I ate 12 points of M&M OFF THE FLOOR in about a 20 second time span!  These things happen.  Some weeks more then others.  But 12 points of M&M's for one day doesn't make you over weight.  The attitude that I messed up today so I'll start over tomorrow spirals into the scary black hole of binging on whatever because tomorrow I'll be good!  Its a scary place!  I may have recommitted myself to loosing weight a hundred different times.  But its still working!  I'm still loosing even if I mess up sometimes!  So no more eating food off the floor! It's back to the grindstone!  I've got 18 pounds to lose and about 5 and a half months to do it!

Weigh in for the past two weeks: -1.2 lbs

Total: 24.8 lbs

This is the first month on WW were I have not lost at least 5 pounds.  I was only .2 lbs away.  I've got to use that as motivation!  WW is revamping their program and I'm going to revamp my results!

Running For Beginners

I've finally finished the Running For Beginners work out that I pulled off of WW online.  I had to change a few things, such as, they say to run 3 times a week and every week you change your work out to be more challenging.  I changed it every 2 weeks instead so that I felt more comfortable with what I was doing.  That worked for me.  Now remember everyone, I am not a runner!  By no means is this body built for speed!  When I finally worked up the courage to even step on the treadmill the longest I was able to go was 2 minutes.  Even when I look at the new workouts and think, I'll try that but I don't think that is going to be something I can do, I almost always do it!  I can do 5 kilometers in 45 minutes.  I am running for 25 minutes straight of that time and the last 5 minutes I'm cooling down.  I barley believe that I can do that!  But I've done it many times now!  Its also always hard and always worth it!  When I'm on that treadmill tired and saying to myself over and over again just push it one more minute see how you feel in one more minute, and reaching that next minute and saying you've made it this far you can do one more minute!  Then I step off the treadmill and I feel like jumping around and screaming!  I do try and contain myself because I want to look like a runner and not a crazy person..... But before this I didn't believe that you could get a high from running, because running kinda sucks,  but I do get a high from the accomplishment of running further or better or faster!

I'm going to be starting the 5K Prep workout next week!  Below is a copy of the running program that I'll be finishing this week.  If you click on it, it will get bigger so you can read it.  Give it a try!  If you want a running buddy let me know!  I know now that anybody can do this!  I never thought that I could and if you would have handed this to me a few months ago I would have laughed.  But now I know that I can surprise myself.  Man, I wish my gym teacher could see me know!
