Wow! Can we talk about stress eating?

In WW there is questionnaire to help you figure out some of your triggers so that you can avoid them.  Well it turns out that I am a classic stress eater. The past few weeks I've managed to lose but I've been eating the weirdest things!  I've had a tub of frosting in my cupboard since Halloween.  I hadn't taken an interest in it since we bought it to decorate cookies.... Even when we were decorating cookies!  But the past two weeks I've just wanted spoon fulls of it!  I'm going to have to throw it out when I get home because my mouth is watering just talking about it!
Yesterday takes the cake though!  For work we are getting together presents for our clients.  They are containers of M&M's.  I opened a bag and a ton of them spilt all over the floor.  So in my stressed out food crazed logic I thought that I should just eat them because people don' t like food off the floor...... So I literally ate about 12 points worth of M&M's OFF THE FLOOR!  Now they do have a hard candy shell which is not just delicious but also makes for a more sanitary 10 second rule.......  I'VE LOST MY WEIGHT WATCHERS MIND!!!
I've learned to forgive myself for the slip ups and to move on and not blow a whole day because I ate 12 points of M&M OFF THE FLOOR in about a 20 second time span!  These things happen.  Some weeks more then others.  But 12 points of M&M's for one day doesn't make you over weight.  The attitude that I messed up today so I'll start over tomorrow spirals into the scary black hole of binging on whatever because tomorrow I'll be good!  Its a scary place!  I may have recommitted myself to loosing weight a hundred different times.  But its still working!  I'm still loosing even if I mess up sometimes!  So no more eating food off the floor! It's back to the grindstone!  I've got 18 pounds to lose and about 5 and a half months to do it!

Weigh in for the past two weeks: -1.2 lbs

Total: 24.8 lbs

This is the first month on WW were I have not lost at least 5 pounds.  I was only .2 lbs away.  I've got to use that as motivation!  WW is revamping their program and I'm going to revamp my results!

Running For Beginners

I've finally finished the Running For Beginners work out that I pulled off of WW online.  I had to change a few things, such as, they say to run 3 times a week and every week you change your work out to be more challenging.  I changed it every 2 weeks instead so that I felt more comfortable with what I was doing.  That worked for me.  Now remember everyone, I am not a runner!  By no means is this body built for speed!  When I finally worked up the courage to even step on the treadmill the longest I was able to go was 2 minutes.  Even when I look at the new workouts and think, I'll try that but I don't think that is going to be something I can do, I almost always do it!  I can do 5 kilometers in 45 minutes.  I am running for 25 minutes straight of that time and the last 5 minutes I'm cooling down.  I barley believe that I can do that!  But I've done it many times now!  Its also always hard and always worth it!  When I'm on that treadmill tired and saying to myself over and over again just push it one more minute see how you feel in one more minute, and reaching that next minute and saying you've made it this far you can do one more minute!  Then I step off the treadmill and I feel like jumping around and screaming!  I do try and contain myself because I want to look like a runner and not a crazy person..... But before this I didn't believe that you could get a high from running, because running kinda sucks,  but I do get a high from the accomplishment of running further or better or faster!

I'm going to be starting the 5K Prep workout next week!  Below is a copy of the running program that I'll be finishing this week.  If you click on it, it will get bigger so you can read it.  Give it a try!  If you want a running buddy let me know!  I know now that anybody can do this!  I never thought that I could and if you would have handed this to me a few months ago I would have laughed.  But now I know that I can surprise myself.  Man, I wish my gym teacher could see me know!

The Skinny Mini In Training Has Provailed!

I rocked it this Thanksgiving!! I feel awesome! I didn't over eat and I managed an almost 2 pound loss for my weigh-in. I'm also wearing a size 8 right now!!! You heard me right! If I thought a 10 was awesome an 8 is about a hundred times better!! I am in the 140's now too! I've lost 23.8 pounds! I'm using way to many exclamation points! I'm just so excited!

It really helped me to make the commitment in writing, over the world wide web not to over eat and blow my weigh-in this week. I didn't feel deprived because I did try everything we had and I saved a few things that I really wanted to eat until I had enough points to eat it. It was just as good, if not better to wait and eat them when I didn't have to feel guilty about the excess pointage. Oh yeah and did I mention that I'm wearing a size 8? Well I am! Did I also mention that I can run for 2 miles non stop? I didn't? Well I can! I also shaved off 2 minutes on my mile! I can now run a 10 minute mile! (The goal is 8 min.)

I'm going to England in June so I'm going to say, right now, aloud that I am going to be at my goal by that time! I have 7 months which I feel is more than enough time since I'm over half way there and its been 5 months. So if you are as excited as I am give me a shout out or let me know what your goal is going to be by June so we can work together! Trust me, saying it to others only helps you get more pumped to make it a reality! So come on my journeying peeps! We can do this!

Weigh-In: -1.8 lbs

Total: 23.8 lbs

Measurements: -2 5/8"

BFP: 35

Its been 10 pounds since my last full bod picture so I took another one for your viewing pleasure! I sure enjoyed it. By the way, I'm wearing my size 8 pants in the picture.

Prep For A Thanksgiving Feast

As we all know I lost it for Halloween..... I've been struggling ever since.  So for Thanksgiving I'm making the commitment know to not over eat and to track my points all day!  Also I'm going to go running in the morning so I can have a few extra points to work with.  This is going to be the best Thanksgiving ever!  I'm not going to feel like I'm going to puke because I'm so full!  And I'll be the best little taste tester ever!  I'll sample everything!  SAMPLE!  I wanted to know how many points my Thanksgiving dinner would be so here is what I found out.

Turkey (1 slice) 2pts
Gravy (1 cup) 1pt
Cranberry Sauce (1/2 cup) 4pts
Mashed Potatoes (1 cup) 5pts (These are homemade with real butter and whole milk)
Stuffing (1/2 cup) 4pts
Pecan Pie (1 slice) 12 pts
Pumpkin Pie (1 slice) 8 pts
Apple Pie (1 slice) 10 pts

That means that on an average Thanksgiving I was using over 53 points!  That is insane!  And who doesn't go back for seconds the second your stomach will allow?  Well that is not going to be me this year!  I'm going to keep it under control and take responsibility for every bite I take!  I'm not going to loose it!  If you want to know the points on anything else that you usually eat on Thanksgiving let me know.  You might be surprised!  Here was my weigh in this week.

Weigh-In: +0.2 lbs

Total Weight Loss: 22 lbs

I'm not going to gain this week!  I'm going to make sure of that!  Who's with me?

The Wedding Dress Challenge

My plan since I stared WW has been to get my wedding dress altered and have my bridals retaken after I loose all the weight I want to and get to goal.  I decided that because I was a little more then halfway to my ULTIMATE GOAL I would just try it on and see the difference.  It was amazing!  I can spin my dress around on my body!  I can zip it up and down myself!  I can see my feet from inside my dress!  My wedding
dress is the only artical of clothing that I have ever had that was fitted to me exactly.  Now I'm down 22.2 pounds and it would be indecent to wear my wedding dress out in public!

Weekly Weigh-In Triumph!

I finally made it back to WW this week!  I rocked the scale like I never have before!  I'll get right to it since its been awhile since I've had good news on here!

Weigh-In: -7lbs

Total: 22.2 lbs

Now I'm more than half way to my ultimate goal!  That's right! (pause for a happy dance) I seriously considered wearing shorts today to show off!  In the end I decided against it seeing as its 50 degrees outside....... But I wanted too!

So I'm back in action!  But I've got to work pretty hard because Thanksgiving is in about 2 weeks and I'm afraid of falling off the wagon again.  I'm going to work on my next blog tomorrow to help me keep my focus.  So stay tuned folks!

The War Continues....

I've been dreading this entry all weekend.  I didn't want to have to admit to my latest slip up and neglect of my goals.  I woke up early on Saturday for my meeting, weighed myself on my scale at home and went directly.... back... to bed!  It was a shameful and shocking discovery that drove me to the ultimate denial by escaping back to bed and into my dreams!  I've been considering not blogging about this week or blogging but not coming clean with this weeks "home" weigh-in like last week.  This is neither honest or what this blog is about.  So with gritted teeth I'll confess the numbers for my weigh-in this week.

Weigh-In: +5 lbs

Total Loss: 15.2 lbs

Unfortunately I didn't take my BFP this week because after I saw that number I literally jumped off the scale like it had just bitten me!

I have been back on track for about a week and a half even if the scale is not reflecting that because of my obviously 2 week binge........... Wish me luck..... Again for next week.

Weigh-In Dread!

Hello my name is Sunnie and I'm a food addict........   Its been 3 days since I last indulged past my daily point allowance.  I'm going to my weigh-in in 2 days and I have some work to do to get back on track.  I am happy to announce that I have been very good..... For the past 3 days.  You have to start somewhere!  Even if you are starting over again.  Since the week of Halloween I have come down from a whooping 5 pound gain to 1 pound left to go before I'm back to where I was 2 weeks ago.  All I have to say is PHEW!  THAT WAS CLOSE!  When Sam asked me if I was done with the WW meetings I knew that I was in serious danger of jumping ship!  I will be going to the meeting this week and facing the dreaded scales even if I have to go in my shorts and t-shirt in the 30 degree weather to suck every last .2 pound out of the scales findings! I will conquer!!!

Avoiding The Halloween Add-On

I'll come right out with it..... I didn't go to weigh-in this week.  I did however go to dinner about 4 times.  This is a very crucial time for me in this journey.  If I don't get my act together and my good habits back in the saddle then I might loss my motivation!  I have not weighed this much since high school but I know I can reach my goal!  I'm half way there!  Thanks again to everyone for the support and I'll be leaning on all of you for the next few weeks while I fight to get back on track!  Wish me luck!

The Fall Off The Wagon Rocked My World!

Well I am not being a very good WW member recently....... It started out with not counting any points on Saturday because I would get 35 extra for the week and I would burn through them in one day and then it became 2 days.... Saturday and Sunday!  There is no such thing as a points free day in WW if you want to be successful!  I've got to pony up and count my points EVERYDAY!  Since I've already surpassed all reasonable pointage in the last two days I have a new resolve!  Its Monday and I'm going to be good!  I swear!

So I tried to make it easier for myself this week by dividing up my fruits and veggies as well as dips and crackers, cereal, and soups up into portion sizes yesterday.  It took about an hour but now when I get hungry and want to grab at an entire tub of guac, it is already divided into a one point serving size.  I'm also going to religiously pack all my good health  guidelines for lunch this week.  This one is hard because in my infinite wisdom I want to have enough points to have my goodies and its less important to have a healthy food.  If I pack my lunch to fulfill all good health guidelines I can't change my mind and grab for something else in the snack cupboard because alas the snack cupboard is miles away!

I think I may have pinpointed a blunder that made my weigh ins slow down a few weeks ago.  I was very into having a healthy oil with a mini bag of popcorn for awhile..... Unfortunately I thought that one serving size was a Tablespoon, and that it was 1 point..... Well I found out that it is a teaspoon and that a Tablespoon of an oil is in fact 4 points! I had been greasing up my popcorn with 4 points of oil daily!  When I figured that out I had to laugh.

As you can tell I am in need of a slap on on wrist!  Halloween is this weekend and I have to be very good because I am a pinch and a squeeze away from a gain next week!  Here is my weigh in info from Saturday:

Weigh In: -0.2 pounds

Total: 20.2 pounds lost!

BFP: 36%

Its not a gain!  But its too close for comfort!  I'm not sure how I'll do this weekend because I'm not going to get on the scale during the week, I can tell you that I went out to eat twice this weekend and the only vegetable I had was one spear of asparagus.  I did make room for cake, candy, and cookies!  I feel skinny today!  I'm just going to try and hold onto that......

Wish me lucky!

Skinny Mini In Training

I watched a TV program last night called "Super Skinny Me".   It is about 2 journalists that take a challenge to be a size 00.  They are both UK size 12 (which I was told is a US size 8)  They are given 5 weeks of crash diets and grueling excises regimes.  They did everything from all soup diets, lemonade diets, protein shake diets, detox centers, fitness trainers, and swimming in below zero water in hopes of speeding up their metabolism.  At points they restricted themselves down to only 200 calories per day.  It had alarming effects on their mental and physical health.  One girl even became so obsessed with losing weight that she became bulimic in only a few weeks of crash dieting.  She was asked to stop the experiment early.  The other woman who had never been on a diet before was feeling emotional and hated every minute of the 5 weeks. Her relationship with her boyfriend suffered, she felt angry because she felt deprived of the things that she wanted, and was driven by the urge to be thin.  One part of the program showed her crying because all she wanted was a piece of cake. She completed the experiment and fit into a size 00.  It was a frightening transformation for 2 normal healthy girls full of life to dissolve into emotionally unstable women that were consumed by the drive to lose weight.

When the experiment was over the woman that had to end the experiment early said "I think the only think I've proved is dieting makes you mental" and the other woman that reached a size 00 said "I love life to much too live like that"

WW always says that this is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change.  I don't have to cry because I want a piece of cake and I don't have to restrict myself to 200 calories per day.  I can eat those things if I really wanted to and just knowing that helps me to avoid those feelings of deprivation.  I want to enjoy my weight loss journey!  I want to enjoy the fact that I have lost 20 pounds and stop dwelling on the 22 pounds that I have left to go.  To help me do that I am going to stop weighing myself during the week.  I get on the scale every morning and every night.  It is very frustrating because you weigh something different everyday!  When I weigh in and lose 2.4 pounds I am not feeling happy because I saw the scale lower earlier that week.  No matter how you slice it I still lost 2.4 pounds!   That is a good week!

I'm happy with the way that I look and feel!  I'm excited for what the future has in store for me but I am going to focus more on the present!  The way my clothes fit today!  The fact that I have more energy and I feel good!!  So bring it on!  No more pity parties for me! I'm going to enjoy what I have achieved because 3 1/2 months ago I didn't think I could do it.

Here's the link to the program.  Its on YouTube so its broken up into segments.

(This is one pound of fat... Get the picture?)

Weekly Weigh-In

I'm having a hard time starting this blog.  Its been 3 1/2 months on weight watchers.  My weigh-ins have been good and I know I'm loosing inches, weight, and I'm in better shape then when I started.  Unfortunately I am not yet to that point where I feel like I look different.  I know that that is a downer before this weeks great results but in the spirit of being honest thought my weight loss journey I'll share the ups as well as the downs in hopes that other people are feeling the same way I am and get some good advice.

Weight Lose: 2.4 lbs

Total Weight Loss: 20 lbs

I am almost half way to my ultimate goal.  I'm not going to give up because I've come this far and I'm never going back!  But it can be really hard sometimes to see the scale change but not to feel like things are changing.

Well that's it for my pity party this week!  I know that by keeping on keeping on I'll feel different one day.

New Discovery!

The weather is changing and that natural instinct to pack it on for the winter months is very strong! I have had to stop buying some of my healthy snacks just because I kept eating them in unhealthy proportion.  Here is a recipe that I got from my WW meeting for a creamy soup that is easy to make and has saved me from making a run to Zupas every chance I get.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

6 Cups Lite Chicken Broth
1 Pound of Broccoli
1 Pound of Cauliflower
10 Ounces Lite Velveeta Cheese

Cut up your broccoli and cauliflower and bring your chicken broth to a boil.  Boil your Broccoli and Cauliflower in the broth until tender and mash it with a potato masher.  Cut the Velveeta into cubes and melt it into the soup.

1 point per cup serves 8 people

Can you believe that!  1 point per cup.  I made a batch last night and froze half in serving sizes and I took it to work today!  It is delicious and counts as a vegetable!  It hits the spot when the weather is chilly!

Well hope that helps with a craving!  If it has then my work here is done.  We lived to fight to be thin another day!  If you have any good recipes let me know!  I'm hungry for some good cookin'!

Sensationally Fantastic News!

So in my last post I gloated about buying a size 12 pant..... Well yesterday I bought a size 10!  Bam!!!  I've been prancing around the house in my new pants for hours and I just can't get enough of them!  I can't remember the last time I had a size 10!  In fact I don't think I ever did!  I went straight from an 6 to a 12....... I really don't know how that happened!  But that is not the point.  The point is I'm wearing a size 10 pant!  Yeah buddy!!!

Weekly Weigh-In

So as you all know, last week I got my 10% goal at WW.  This week I had to set a new goal.  I went with the next 10%.  I have 15 pounds to lose........ Here we go again!  When I set my goal my leader said to keep in mind that it would probably take twice as long to lose the next 10%.......  That bugged me!  Twice as long is 6 months.  Its not that long really but it seems like it when you are just starting.  But I can honestly say that 3 months ago I would not have thought that I was going to be 17 pounds lighter!  I made a deal with myself that after I lost my first 10% I would go and find a new pair of jeans.  I set out to find a pair that were real denim with no special cut, just regular jeans.  Guess what I found out!!!!  I went down a jean size!  I'm now a size 12!  Not just a size 12 but a comfortable size 12!  So with that being said here are the results of my weigh-in:

Weekly Weigh-In : -.6 lbs

Total: 17.6 lbs

BFP: 37%

Measurements: -4.25"

Total: 8.25"

That's right!  I may feel like things have slowed down but WW is working!  I'm getting what I want from myself even if it might take 6 more months to reach my next goal!  I got this baby!

Skinny Mini In Training

I have bad news..... Last week my goal was to keep going to the gym.  Well I didn't.  I went to one yoga class and it was because someone else asked me to go with them!  The weird thing is that I lost more weight not working out then I have when I was on my program!  I'm calling this a fluke and hitting the gym!  So I'm going to keep the same goal as last week.

I did my homework about workout plans to help you prepare for a 5K.  I'm doing a 3 week running for beginners workout.  I just started yesterday but its pretty intense. I feel like I can do it because of the base that I have made for myself.  After the beginners workout plan I'll be ready for the 5k Prep Plan.  If anybody is interested in joining me in my quest to run a 5K let me know!  I'm going to start looking for the run that I want because I'm sure that nothing could be more motivating then signing up for a run!

Hopefully next spring I will be ready to run outside!  I made an attempt last week and it was pretty embarrassing.  As you all know I've been running on the Treadmill and that is helpful because it keeps a pace for me.  But the other day I wanted to give it a shot on my own outside!  Feeling like a hotshot I walked out my door and past my neighbors that were having a family party and started running!!! I made it about 2 streets down...... If you have been to my neighborhood then you know that the streets are only about 2 houses wide....... I made the walk of shame back past my neighbors to my house.  I had already been running that day and I went full speed down the street.  The only thing I proved that day was that I'm not a sprinter........

Weekly Weigh-In

I have great news! I have finally made it to my first goal in WW!  I got my first 10% this week!  I have lost 10% of my body weight!  I've lost a total of 17 pounds!  If your like me it wasn't enough to know that I had lost 17 pounds I wanted to know what 17 pounds looks like! So in case you were wondering what a laundry basket that weighed 17 pounds of clean folded laundry would contain then look no further because here it is!
  • 3 Pairs of Pants
  • 10 Shirts
  • 2 Hand Towels
  • 1 Bath Robe
  • 1 Tank Top
  • 4 Panties
  • 1 Bra
  • 1 Boxer
  • 1 Bath Towel
  • 11 Pairs of Socks
  • 2 Spare Matchless Socks
  • 2 Sweaters
And just in case you were wondering what that would look like......

Wow that is a full basket of laundry!  It was crazy to carry that around and think that I use to carry that around all the time!  That's heavy!

So here are the stats:

Weigh-in: -2.6 lbs
Total weight lost -17 lbs

BFP 36%

So my next goal is going to be another 10%  I have 15 pounds to loose and after loosing 17 pounds I know that I can do it!  Its not so bad!

Skinny Mini In Training & Pictures!

So it has been a long week without my 35 points... And I have been tempted!  But I think it has helped to finally break the trend of loosing almost nothing for a month to loosing quite a bit! Even since yesterday I have lost some weight.  So I have a feeling that next weeks weigh in will be awesome!  Unfortunately I'm not sure that I could keep it up all the time.  I don't know about you guys but I NEED some of my extra points!  But I will keep working on not blowing all 35 of my points over the weekend.  I will use them when I need them not because I have them.
This week I need to keep up the exercise! Now that I have finished my program I feel like a lost puppy!  What will I do next? Does anybody have any ideas?  I just started WW online and they have different work out plans that you can choose from.  I think I will start there but if anybody has any thing that they feel works and is challenging let me know.
Just wanted to share some new and old pictures.  I hope you enjoy 'em!  I sure do!

Sarong Free!

While I was paroozing a second hand WW magazine 6 weeks ago I was suddenly inspired by an article.  It was about 4 women each with individual goals to get into shape for the summer.  One women stood out to me!  Her article was entitled "Sarong-Free"!  How would it be ladies, not to be ashamed of our thighs before they go and make an arse of themselves? I knew I had found the perfect motivation to keep to an exercise regime!  So I tore out the article with the 6 week program and packed my gym bag!
I finished yesterday!  While I still would not go walking on the beach without my shorts.... YET!  I do feel like I have made strides in my physical abilities.  When I started I was to afraid to even step onto the treadmill.  When I finally worked up the courage I could only run 2 minutes at a time, and only 4 minutes total in my work out.  I am happy to announce that I have worked up to running an entire mile non stop!  It took me 11 minutes and 50 seconds but inspired me to set a new goal.  I want to run an 8 minute mile and I also want to run a 5K next year!  I have also notice increased strength, firmness, and muscle definition in my abs, arms, and legs from the other workouts outlined in the program!
I have surprised myself with what I was able to accomplish in only 6 weeks.  I did see a slowing at the scales.... like I've mentioned a million times before..... but I lost inches and I feel healthier.  This was not always easy but it was always worth it.  Before I made excuses about why I couldn't go to the gym, like I had dinner to make, I was exhausted from my desk job, I didn't want Sam to have to come home to an empty house.  How silly are all of those reasons not to help myself get into shape and look and feel great!  Instead of watching re-run episodes of friends after work.... alone.... on the couch I'm going to be kicking off the sarong next summer and running around by the pool!  If booty shorts were socially acceptable you would see me in 'em!  But rest assure I will own a pair even if I don't wear them out.
Thank you all so much for the support!  Everyone that has read the blog and sent comments, emails, and talked with me about their successes and aspirations.  Your the best!  I'm really excited for all of you and thanks for keeping me motivated to get what I want out of myself!
Here is a copy of the plan that I followed.  Its from Weight Watchers Magazine.  Everyone should get it..... I hope that covers me for putting up a picture of their stuff.....

Total weight lost: 14.4

Emergency Situation

This is a true story!  About 15 minutes ago my boss came in and brought berry tartlets with him!  They look so good!!!  He put one on my desk and I was seriously tempted at that point!  I thought I might have enough points today that I could eat it....... I was picturing how good it would taste with its glazed berries and creamy filling and soft buttery crust........ As I was sucking back the saliva that was accumulating in the corners of my mouth..... HE PUT ANOTHER ONE ON MY DESK!!!!  Now I have two berry tartlets that had been siting on my desk for 10 minutes!  I had to blog immediately!  I have promised not to eat my extra 35 points this week because I have only lost 1 pound in 4 weeks!  Something has to change so that I can start to see some results on the scale and I have been going strong too!  Now I am faced with the age old question - To eat, or not to eat - I had to get them out of my sight!  I put them in the fridge just so that I would stop sweating and went for my 0 point Jell-O to calm my craving.  You can image my surprise when in my Jell-O lid I found this.......

I think its divine intervention.

I wish I could have said that I threw them in the garbage but I am going to save them until I can use my 35 points again...... I'm only going to have one and give the other to Sam..... Hey I'm only human!

Hungry Girl Has Saved Me!

I'm sure you have all heard of Hungry Girl.  I like to call her The Angel Of Weight Loss!  She has saved me from hundreds of calories because of her Bite it, Fight it recipes. When I am really craving something that I would normally find at a restaurant deep fried, smothered with a delicious sauce, and with a side of fries she has found an alternative that actually tastes good!  Well they actually have taste in the first place!  Most of her recipes are quick and simple so you can save yourself from excess fat, and surplus calories.  Today I'm craving Mexican Food!  Here is a recipe from her website that I have had once before that was AMAZING!  It took about 15 minutes to make and I was completely satisfied by the points and portion.  So thanks Hungry Girl for coming to my rescue!  If any of you guys have a Hungry Girl recipe that saved you from binging at your neighborhood fast food joint or from standing in front of the freezer trying to down a carton of ice cream let me know!

Skinny Mini In Training!

Last week I wanted to eat all my fruits and veggies as well as the other good health guidelines that are set up by WW.  I did pretty darn good too!  There were a couple days where I could have reached for that last fruit for the day instead of a cup of WW ice cream..... But I feel good about my effort and it forced me to get creative about ways to get my oil and milks in on any given day.  Some of my favorites for this week were; sugar free pudding for a milk, popcorn with olive oil for a healthy oil, and Bolthouse Farms C-Boost Tropical Fruit Smoothie for a fruit.  I have one question for you..... What other diet would you be able to do where you could have pudding, popcorn and fruit smoothies and still have great results?  WW is simply the best for a girl that loves her snacks! I must admit to a slowing of the scale however.  In WW I am given 35 extra points that I can use in a week.  I ALWAYS use my extra points!  Either on a fatty take out dinner or an extra few chocolates daily.  With only 3.4 pounds left until I get my 10% Goal I need to step it up! This week I'm not going to use my extra points!  Instead I'm going to keep up with my Good Health Guidelines and exercise program and see how it will effect my weigh in.  I CAN DO IT!

Weekly Weigh-In

This week Sam and I went and weighed in on Thursday night instead of Saturday Morning but I have good news!......

Weigh-In: -1 lb

Total of 13.6 lb lost!

Not a big loss this week but it was still a loss!  In WW the first goal you set is to loose 10% of your body weight.  My goal is 17 pounds and as you can tell by my last weigh in I only have 3.4 lbs to go! Can you believe that!  Woot Woot!  I'm getting so close!

Skinny Mini In Training!

Okay people, like I said before this roller coaster of weight loss is not always going to be a walk in the park!  It is a marathon and today all I have are a pair of running shoes that make my toes go numb.... Instead of ramming into what runners have affectionately named "the invisible wall"  I'm going to train for my new lifestyle by setting smaller goals along the way.

The joy about WW is that I can essentially eat whatever I want as long as I keep track of points and pay attention to portions.  This is a double edge sword for me.  Its not exactly a healthy diet if I fill my day up with chocolate, cakes, and pies, OH MY! WW also suggest that you include a few healthier chooses into your diet, such as; 5 waters, 5 fruits/veggies, healthy oil, dairy, and a vitamin.  Because I gained last week and have an entire cupboard dedicated snacks..... I'm going to focus on these healthy guidelines for this week.

I, Sunnie, here by promise to follow all the Good Health Guidelines this week!

If any of my other crusaders have suggestions about how to incorporate any of these guidelines let me know ASAP!

My race is fast approaching and I plan on WINNING!

Weekly Weigh-In

To keep everyone as current as possible I will be posting my Weekly Weigh-In!  These last few weeks have been quite hard.  I have been following the program and I started working out a month ago, but I have not lost very much.  Today I actually gained!  I asked my leader at WW about this and he said that when you first start an exercises program and your muscles are tearing that it can cause water retention.  He said that it can take about 5 to 6 weeks before I would possibly be seeing some weight loss. That was okay for me because next week is the 5th week.  He also said that I should go home and measure myself and that I would probably be loosing inches even if I was not dropping any weight.  Lucky for me I took these measurements a few weeks ago. So I went home and did just that!  Here are my stats for this week.

Weigh-In: +0.8 lb

Total of 12.6 lb lost!

Measurements: -4"
(That is a total over my arm, chest, waist, hips, and thigh)

That's right baby!  -4" in 17 days!  I can be siked about that!  But 0.8 pounds don't get to comfortable because next week YOU ARE OUT OF HERE!

Turning Point

Hello Family and Friends!  Welcome to my first blog entry!  Two months ago I started weight watchers.  When you look at the picture above you can see why.... This picture is my before picture.  The picture where I did not pose by sitting up straight, crossing my arms in front of my belly, hiding behind someone else, or stretching out my neck for the best jaw line I could manage.  This is me... All of me! When I saw this picture I wanted to cry.  I probably did cry!

That was then and this is now!  I wanted to share my journey with everyone, uncensored and completely honest, for a few reasons.
  • I want to keep myself motivated.  How better to do that then to admit my successes and the occasional failure.
  • I want to inspire other people
  • I want to be my dream weight
  • I want to my clothes to say "Yeah she looks hot under here too!"
  • I have 3 beautiful sisters and a hot mama.....
If those reasons are not inspiration enough I have my health to think about.
  • I want to be in the best shape of my life in my 20's not wish I had been when I look back
  • I want to enjoy life and feel like I can conquer anything
  • I want to do athletics without feeling self conscious or thinking that I just can't do it
  • I want to be ready to grow a baby inside a healthy body with already well established habits
So here it is, the secret we always lie about on our drivers license, the reason why the scale has dust on it, the truth!  My turning point!  I weigh....... 161.0 Pounds!  All 5'1" of me!  This is about 30 pounds more then the heavy side of my healthy BMI according to weight watchers.  131.0 is also my weight watchers goal.  I haven't weighed this much since my first year in high school!  The great thing about weight watchers is that the meetings help me realize that, I CAN DO THIS!  I CAN DO THIS ONE MORE DAY!  I CAN DO THIS ONE MORE WEEK!  BECAUSE I'M WORTH IT!    So saddle up cupcake because we are about to embark on the ride of a lifetime!  Thanks for being a part of it!

You'll be seeing a little less of me next time!
Much love,
Sunnie
