Bliss called me earlier this week and asked for some ideas about breakfast food. Because I LOVE breakfast I had a few but thought I would share with everyone.
Breakfast Parfait
1 oz of yogurt
1/4 cup blueberries
1/2 cup strawberries
1/4 cup granola
Delish! This recipe is about 170 calories (3-4 WW points) depending on what kind of granola and yogurt you use. I use a 0% Greek yogurt and a granola that is 220 calories for half a cup but it has chocolate in it!
Cherry Chocolate Shake
4 ice cubes
3/4 cup unsweetened cherries
1/2 cup yogurt
1/4 cup almond milk (or milk of your choice)
1 tbs coco powder
Another wonderful breakfast! Makes quite a bit and is around 180 - 200 (3-4 WW Points) calories. Be sure to check your teeth because sometimes I get cherry skins in them... not cute.
English Muffin Sandwich
Wonderbread Sourdough English Muffin
1 slice reduced fat provolone
1 small breakfast portobella
Sprouts
This is about 180 calories (4 WW Points)but makes a great breakfast! Just grill up the shroom and melt the cheese on top and through them all in the bun. Sometimes when I'm short on time or want to save on calories I'll just use a skinny cow it takes it down to about 160
Oatmeal and fruit
Quaker sugar free oatmeal
Almond Milk (Or milk of your choice)
Fruit of your choice
A quick and simple breakfast that sticks with you. This is about 160 calories (2-3 WW Points) depending on what kind of fruit you use and how much. I usually have about 1/4 to a 1/2 cup
If you have any great recipes that are your daily staples let me know! I'm always looking for new ideas.

Week... I forgot
I haven't been keeping up with my posts like I would like to but I do have a few activities that I need to tell you about.
This week was HIKING!
I went on a camping trip with the ladies and we headed up Spanish Fork Canyon to stay at Diamond Fork Campgrounds. I'm not a hard core camper. I like to have a little facet and a hole in the ground with real walls and a real toilet seat. I like to feel outdoorsy without getting to dirty. I'm what you might call a "Car Camper" I've made my peace with this. For now just to aspire to one day go back packing is enough.
While we were camping we headed up to Three Forks Hiking Trail to the hots springs. I had no idea there were hot springs so close to home but it was one of my favorite things we did on this trip! It was 2.5 miles to the hot springs. The trail was perfect and the best part is that at the end we changed into our suits an hung out in the water for an hour before we headed back down.
What a great day! It has inspired me to not only get a camelbac but to also go camping more often and not just to sit in my chair and read a book. It was great! Thanks ladies and if anyone is going on a trip and need an enthusiastic little camper. I'm your girl.
You don't need a scale, you need an advociate! Weight Watchers!
I went to Weight Watchers this morning! The first weigh in... put simply.. wasn't pretty! But I was still excited to have some goals and someone to be accountable too because I've proven over the last few weeks that I cannot be trusted right now.
When I told the front desk person that I wanted to change my goal, she looked at me as if I was dressed like Lady GaGa. Pure confusion and disbelieve! I assured her that I wanted to change the goal and I knew I would have to pay for the weeks until goal and yes I was sure.
The best part about Weight Watchers for me today was the little goals that get you to the big goals. I have 6 pounds till I lose 5 percent of the weight till my goal. 6 pounds is nothing! Then they all celebrate and announce it in a meeting and everyone claps and I get to feel like the Weight Watchers Leaders Pet. I got to tell you, I love that! It's awesome! If you haven't tried it I recommend it.
The helplessness that I felt yesterday is gone. It only took 12 hours and I on top of the world again. What are you going to do today to get excited about your health, your life, and your goals? Feel free to post it in the comments. Make a real commitment and let everyone know what your plans are! Trust me, best decision I ever made was to make this blog.
Weekly Weigh In: 134.4 lbs
Weight till goal: 19.4 lbs (EASY!!!!)

Fed Up!
Have you checked the blog lately? Anything missing? Posts Maybe? Let me explain myself. I'm fed up!! I'm fed up with my own lack of self discipline. I've been trying to find something to be excited about. I've got my gadgets, food diary's, fancy organic foods... Nothing. So I've decided to take a step back and simplify my approach. I've taken off the bodymedia and tossed aside the set work out plan. I'm heading back to Weight Watchers first thing in the morning! It works! Its simply and I have to show up to be weighed weekly which has been a wonderful motivation for me.
I want to be excited about what I do to keep myself healthy. It's become a choir to eat healthy, and work out instead of an accomplishment. I just need to get a fresh perspective. I know I've said it before... But if you don't keep yourself excited whats the point?
Do you ever look at yourself in the mirror and think only about the things you want to change about yourself? You start to think if I only weighed this much I would be happy. When I weighed 180 pounds I would have given anything to weigh what I do now! Anything! Why don't I appreciate what I have? I still have goals but life really is always about enjoying the journey. Sometimes it just takes some reminding.

Week 26: Pole Fitness
Suzanne, who happens to be my workout inspiration right now, asked me if I wanted to go to Pole Fitness with her. Because I've vowed never to say no to a chance to get up and move more I said yes. We went to the authority on Pole Fitness, Jen Wilkes. Jen owns Pole Expression, she is a spoonful of sugar with a nice kick in the teeth. She had us lifting, kicking, spinning, and crunching for an hour. The pole may look all cute and sexy, which it is don't get me wrong, but wow! It's deadly! Add a no nonsense fitness instructor and be prepared to work!
I wasn't as bad as I was expecting which is always a nice surprise! But Jen was determined to make me suffer at least a little. Jen guarantees results and really wants each student to get the most out of class. Jen's classes are geared towards total body fitness. You wont find yourself half naked, spread eagle, and upside down on the pole. This class is about using the pole to help you use your body weight as resistance. You get to wear huge heels and do a few spins but if fitness isn't fun... who cares!
Favorite Part Of Class: The shoes!
Difficulty Level: 7
BodyMedia Calorie Burn: 216
Price: Drop-In $15.00
Check out Pole Expression on Facebook for the Location and Class Times. Spaces are limited because there are only 5 poles so you have to sign up for a class in advance.
TRY IT! Let me know when you are going and I'll come along!
I've been a bad blogger
I've been putting off my blog... I'll work on it right now.
Stay tuned. New posts will be here in a minute.
