I went to Weight Watchers this morning! The first weigh in... put simply.. wasn't pretty! But I was still excited to have some goals and someone to be accountable too because I've proven over the last few weeks that I cannot be trusted right now.
When I told the front desk person that I wanted to change my goal, she looked at me as if I was dressed like Lady GaGa. Pure confusion and disbelieve! I assured her that I wanted to change the goal and I knew I would have to pay for the weeks until goal and yes I was sure.
The best part about Weight Watchers for me today was the little goals that get you to the big goals. I have 6 pounds till I lose 5 percent of the weight till my goal. 6 pounds is nothing! Then they all celebrate and announce it in a meeting and everyone claps and I get to feel like the Weight Watchers Leaders Pet. I got to tell you, I love that! It's awesome! If you haven't tried it I recommend it.
The helplessness that I felt yesterday is gone. It only took 12 hours and I on top of the world again. What are you going to do today to get excited about your health, your life, and your goals? Feel free to post it in the comments. Make a real commitment and let everyone know what your plans are! Trust me, best decision I ever made was to make this blog.
Weekly Weigh In: 134.4 lbs
Weight till goal: 19.4 lbs (EASY!!!!)

The Day has finally arrived!
I reached my WW's Goal this week!!
I've lost a total of 42.6 pounds! After years and years of being over weight I can finally say that I am within my healthy weight range! I thought I would list some of the things that I love about being 131 pounds!
- Having my neck back!
- I thought I just had collar bones that couldn't be seen.....
- I would go running right now, no hesitation!
- I'm in the Yoga Teacher Training and I would never have done that before.
- I don't have to have my sweat shirt of shame whenever I go out... even if its 90 degrees.
- Talking to other people about what they have been doing for their health.
- I wear a 6! I wore a 6 for a very short amount of time in Junior High.
- The way people look at me now.
- When the people I love tell me that they can tell a difference in the way I look.
- Clothes shopping!!!!
- Feeling healthy! My body, and mind feel so much different.
- I'm in the best shape of my life and its getting better every day!
My own personal goal is only 6 pounds away! 6 pounds! I am in a "Maintenance" period at WW and have to stay at my goal weight for 6 weeks to become a lifetime member! I feel motivated and excited!
It was a great idea to set a group goal with my sisters and mom. It has been so helpful to be able to call each other and celebrate together. Thank you my lovely's!
Also thank you to everyone that has said I looked good or that I was doing a good job. It helped every time to hear someone else say it.
I love you guys!

10 Minutes! It will change your life! 10 Minutes!

I've had this catchy theme song stuck in my head for 7 days now! I've started Tony Horton's 10 Minute Trainer. I heard about it from my weekend infomercial routine. I was sitting on my couch enjoying the hot bodies when it hit me.... I have to do this!
I have recently decided to back off my hardcore attempts to loosing weight. It was making me crazy and getting me nowhere. I was weighing myself about 2 to 3 times a day. I was working out twice a day as intensely as I could manage. I wouldn't eat anything that was off my healthy eating plan, even in a small quantity all week and then just go crazy on the weekends. I was burned out, frustrated, and ready to quite WW.
And so a new goal was born! This goal was simple, short, and straight to the point..... STOP BEING CRAZY!! If I'm making lifestyle changes I have to be able to maintain them and enjoy life! So I had been searching for a new exercise plan. I've seen about a million commercials for P90X and I think it looks really cool and the results look amazing but I don't want to through myself into another training program that will make me..... What? Yes, CRAZY! I want something to help me loose my last 9.6 pounds, easy to accomplish, effective, and help me tone up a little in the process. So I started 10 Minute Trainer.
Its done but the same guy as the P90X but like the title says, its only 10 minutes. Now I am trying out his Lean Jean plan which is two 10 minute work outs in a day but seriously 10 minutes is nothing and I can fit it in anytime. 20 minutes is still very obtainable.
Today is day 7 and I've finally broken the 136 barrier on the scale and weighed in at WW at 134.6! That's a total of 39 pounds! I also took my measurements at the beginning of the Lean Jean program and I'll let you know how it works out in 3 more days. I'm loving it so far. Its challenging, yet there are modifications for easier workouts or harder workouts. Its a sweat-fest and I am seeing results.
All I have to say (and I'll sing it to you next time I see you, by request only) 10 Minutes! It will change your life! 10 Minutes!
For your viewing pleasure I present you with the infomercial that inspired me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tgj9c9naZho

The next project to tackle!
So I've finally broken down and I'm going to clean out the closet. Saturday is the day! Don't worry it will be thoroughly documented. I need a change... again. This should be interesting. Its also going to be a little sad to let go of some of those things. I held onto them because its nice to see them in the closet and think, well I can't wear that because its too big! But out with the old and in with the new!!
As a side note.... There is only a month and a half until I start Yoga Instructing School! Ahhhh!!! I did yoga this morning for the first time in a few months and I am so sore! I need to step it up before classes start! I just bought two new Workout DVDs tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.
Lastly but not least.... I lost 1.2 pounds last week :) Oh happy day!

I must be a little crazy!
Good weigh in this week! I lost 2.6 lbs! Woohoo!! I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things now that I'm home. Sometimes I have severe sugar urges from all the chocolate I ate but I'm coping.
I registered to run a 10K this weekend!!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!! So I've been running like crazy to get ready for the race. Only 4 days to go and counting. This will be my 3rd race and I have plans for 2 more to finish out the summer.
What can I say about running 10 Kilometers.... Its hard, it takes a long time and I'm excited! Because I was a slacker on my vacation and I didn't work on running a 10K at all I've had to crunch in some serious running time. The only snag I've hit is because I had Osgood-Schlatters diseaseI might be getting some tendinitis in my knees. I have to be careful and really listen to my body because I don't want to over stress and hurt myself. I talked to the Chiropractor and he told me to wrap them for a long run and it has been helping.
If you want to come down and do a 5 or 10K this weekend! just go to Sandycity.com and search the site for races. If you want to come down and hang out with Ivy and I at the race its at Sandy City Hall at 7:15am!

Takin' Care Of Business!
My trip is only 9 days away! I've been making the most out of the last few weeks until I head out for the Queens Country! I've kept up with the exercises and the healthy eating even though I hadn't seen a big drop in the scale for 2 months!!! I knew a plautu was a lurking possibility but I had high hopes anyway. It was very discouraging to be working just as hard as I always had and not to see the results that I wanted. But thanks to my Brother-In-Law who said just don't give up, been there and done that! Just don't do it! I kept on keepin' on!
I also didn't want to buy to many clothes because I wasn't yet satisfied with the look of my new bod. I'm sure there is some deep phsycological reason why I've held on to my old clothes but we wont get into that today. I decided I had to have more then 2 shirts to take with me on my trip. I set out to a store that 35 pounds ago I wouldn't have dared to venture into! Charlotte Russe!!! I've always been an accessory shopper. I have no trouble finding shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, jackets, and lounge clothes. Anything with a "one size fits all" tag! but I haven't had a real t-shirt in years. So with a little inspiration from my sister I set out for the dreaded GRAPHIC T!
I'm a big baby because it was awesome! Why didn't I do that sooner? I left the store with a multitude of new shirts and of course like always a new sense of self!
Down to business. I weighed in on Saturday and I've been dying to share the results with EVERYBODY!!
Weekly Weigh-In: -2 glorious whole pounds!
Total Weight Lost: 37.2 lbs
Weight Left To GOOOO: 11.4 lbs
I just can't believe this!!! I'm so close! 11.4 pounds I can burn in my sleep....... Well nothing will stop me from trying! Here are some HUGE milestones that are approaching!!
- In 2.8 pounds I will have lost 40 pounds!
- In 4.4 pounds according to the BMI I will no longer be overweight!
- In 5.4 pounds I will have reached my WW goal!
- And of course the Ultimate goal! In 11.4 pounds I'll weigh 125 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!
Food is good!!! I happen to love it! But nothing beats how good I feel now!

Weekly Weigh-In
Another loss to report!
Weekly weigh-in: -0.2 lbs
I know it seems tiny... and it is but hey its another loss!! That's 3 weeks in a row! It may only add to about 2 pounds in total but its still coming off! And after 2 months of staying the same I'm ready to loose anything!!!
I have HIGH hopes for next week though! The trend on the scale is changing and I know that I can pull a great number next week! Right now I'm sitting at my desk noticing how sore my arms are from yesterdays work out! I'm lovin it! I'm going to a cycling class tonight because I needed a change from running. If you have a Golds Gym membership on Wednesday nights at 6 at the West Jordan gym there is a great cycling class! The instructor makes it so interesting and invigorating! I look forward to my Wednesday night ride! 4 days till the weigh in and everything counts! Only 2 1/2 weeks till ENGLAND!!

The Final Countdown!!!!
Exactly one month to go until my trip to England!!! Its time to get focused for the final leg of the race! I've accomplished so much and I love the new body I'm in but I'm not finished yet. I want to be at my WW goal by the time I leave and that is 7.6lbs away! When I weighed in last week I lost another .8 for a grand total of 35lbs!
I think I have also finally moved past the plateau that was plaguing me over the last month or so........ Ahh the agony of the dreaded plateau!! I had to make a change and at first I thought MORE EXERCISE!!! I was killing myself! I was running 8K 3 times a week and doing the Biggest Loser Cardio Max, Power Sculpt, and Yoga video's 3 times a week. It was to much and my body knew it. So I've relaxed and taken a step back and instantly noticed better results on the scale.
The other change I made was giving up meat. I know what its like to be a vegetarian because my mom is and we grew up that way. I read some interesting things in the book "Skinny Bitch" (which by the way is a very education book but be prepared to feel bad about yourself..... they really are bitches....) It was just a reminder of things I already knew but this time I felt more prepared and capable of maintaining a diet that didn't involve meat. Its been little over a week and I feel good about my decision.
So like always I have to remind myself of my goal and then make a plan (which involves lists because I just love to make a good list of things to do) and put it in action! Let the final countdown begin!

Weekly Weigh In
Last week when I weighed in I lost 1.4 pounds! But...... I'll never weigh in on a Wednesday again. I lost control. I kept up with my workouts. I even finished a 10K! But I didn't monitor my eating. So the viscous cycle continues. I have been thinking about this post for days. I'm really tired of having to say that I eat like tomorrow the sun wasn't going to come up. I'm doing 50% of what I should be doing. Eating and exercise go together. They don't work one without the other.
I'm really disappointed that I let myself blow the weekend again. Its a pattern that I'm having a very difficult time breaking free from.
So here is the choices that I can make right now. I can make this post negative and dwell on bad decisions that I've made... even though by the end of this post I know I'll make a promise to everyone that reads this that I will not let myself give up on a weekend again. The second choice is to think about the amazing things that I have accomplished. Just another easy decision to make!
- I'm going to buy a swimsuit this week!
- I finished a 10K!
- Only 7 pounds until I am not overweight!
- Losing weight is easy!
- I love being able to wear a size 8 comfortably.
- I wouldn't have considered going to yoga school 35 pounds ago.
- I haven't felt this good in years!
- I haven't looked this good in years!
- I will not give up!
Nothing tastes as good as being thin! I'll be remembering that and using what WW calls an Anchor this week. An anchor can be a phrase or an object that you can refer to that reminds you of your ultimate goal.
I will not give up what I want for what I want right now!

Has The Suspense Been Killing You?
I know I left you all in a painful lurch with my last post and my shocking 5 pound gain! Usually when there is a lull in my blog it is because I could be doing better and I'm working up the courage to admitting it. But not this week. This week the long pause was just for dramatic effect!
Weekly Weigh In: -4.8 lbs
Total Weight Lost: 32.8 lbs
Left to go: 15.8
Time on the Clock: 1 month 3 Weeks
I ran to WW last week! I can't believe I can do that! I ran 5 miles on Monday. I've also been doing the Biggest Loser work out videos. Alternating between Sculpting, Cardio, and Yoga twice a day. I also have been eating all my healthy guidelines and choosing less low cal sweets for more fruits or veggies. I also eat an ice cream everyday! Could it be any better? I'll be weighing in tonight and I'll be getting back to you tomorrow with the results.
I feel so different compared to the person that I was 9 months ago. I got a taste of who I was when I went on vacation and it was not something I want to do again but sometimes it takes a little reminder to help you realize how much your goals really mean to you. I can't wait to be able to say that I'm not over weight anymore and it so close that I can see the finish line. I've just got to sprint the rest of the way!

The weigh-in to rule them all....
I can't say that I wasn't expecting a huge gain this week but it doesn't mean it was any less surprising to see just how much I had betrayed the scale this week.
Weigh-In: +5.2
WOW!!!!! That is the pits right there! I celebrated this monstrous weigh in by eating! I'm happy to be able to say that the shock has worn off and I'm back on track. Nothing can stop me now! I've got 2 months till my trip and I've pledged with Biggest Loser! I've got plenty of motivation to last me till my goal! The Skinny Mini will prevail!!!

The sentamental inside all of us......
So I've been putting off this post as you can tell........ Its been a weird few weeks and my normal routine has been interrupter. I hurt my back about two weeks ago and put off working out until it felt better and now I have a cold and I haven't worked out all week. If I'm not working out its easier to be home and snacking...... Also I'm going on a road trip this weekend.... Need I say more?
I have fallen off the wagon and I only have a few more weeks until my trip. I've found it harder to loose weight now as well. I need a fresh set of goals to help me keep on track and get to where I want to be! So I'm breaking it down into smaller goals because even though I'm only about 15 pounds away from my goal, right now that seems to be an impossible destination.
My plan for this weekend......... NO GAS STATION FOOD!!!! I will pack snacks that work with my diet and only enough to fit within my points. There will be not pit stops for excess food and I am going to be very particular about my choices at a restaurant. I'll make the restaurant fit in with my lifestyle! If I have to I will run beside the car while my sister drives to get in some exercise!
My next weight loss goal......... Become a lifetime member at WW! I've finally set my final goal at WW. In about 9 pounds I will officially not be overweight. I will be within my healthy weight and this range will be my home forever! My goal at WW is 131.
My fitness goal........ So I think I've master the 5k! I can run it outside and inside and I'm ready for a new challenge. I think the next step is a 10K. Its time to push a little further! Also I'm going to start the Biggest Loser Workout Videos! I would like to continue to tone up my muscles because they are finally becoming visible!
So there it is! My current goals to help me with my future ones. I've got some work to do!
My weigh in: +0.8
(crappy +0.8!)

Weekly Weigh-In
I had a good week! I made it to my 30 lb mark! I've lost 30 lbs! So I enjoyed my weight loss for about an hour and then ate my way through the weekend..... I have to kick that habit! I work really hard during the week with my exercises and eating habits and then the weekend hits and I eat everything that I had thought that I might want to have during the week. Well not anymore! This nasty habits stops right here, right now! If I had saved some of those points then right now when I'm really itching for a 100 cal nutty bar I could have one then I wouldn't feel deprived and I wouldn't go crazy over the weekend.
So this weekend is going to be tough.... Because like an addict of any kind, kicking a habit sucks! But its worth it! So wish me luck!
Weigh-in: 142.0 lbs
Total Weight Lost: 31.6lbs
Weight To Goal: 17 lbs
